How To Save Money On Item Upgrade

How To Save Money On Item Upgrade

WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be visited at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to keep your equipment up to date.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapon, armor, tool, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will display a preview of an item's next upgrade level when there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the slot of the item and the current item level. For instance weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. Once  item upgrades  is upgraded to a certain level it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Many locations have upgraders for their items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and the chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases with the number of items that are being upgraded. It is also possible to be boosted by having players complete specific achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are available only through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit as well as a drawback.

In Season 3, several new features have been added to the upgrade system. Once the player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is true even if those items come from another set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade is reduced and the discount is affixed to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is cut too, but it is only available after certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

Players have a variety of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific upgrades to the level of an item. Crests are a crucial element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be spent on equipment of a particular rank, and every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, based on the kind of equipment that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by completing content of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and performing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of all difficulty for items of higher tier or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for endgame gear. These crests can then be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.

The new currency system isn't difficult to use, however it will bring some changes to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another significant change is that crests only have one purpose and it's crucial to use them wisely. It is best to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear you can find and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially relevant for trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character that will be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all of the slots are full of high-quality equipment.
